Tasty! I wasn't overly blown away by the gyros, but I fell in love with their baba ghounaj. It was unlike any I've had before, not quite authentic, but it was very delicious. Their hummus is decent! While the gyro meat was rather delicious, the pita and tzatziki left a bit to be desired. I would absolutely go back and try more at Habibi. Right now, though, it was just an A-OK experience. I look forward to a much better food experience next time. Atmosphere is great and service was very nice.

Excellent! Split the Mediterranean appetizer and had a gyro. Great food, huge portions, friendly & fast service. Enough food for one more full meal tomorrow. :) Would go again.

Great food slow service. If the place is empty, you can expect your food in no less than 20 minutes. I have seen the staff warn people of hour long waits when only half filled.

Disappointed. Got carry out from them last night and I can't say I was impressed. First off I ordered off the online menu that was linked here on yelp only to be told that it was an old menu and that the almost 8 dollar gyros no longer came with sides. I ordered a Greek side salad and an order of fries at $3 each. The side salad was a handful of wilted lettuce, a tiny puddle of dressing at the bottom of the container, four slivers of tomato, microscopic crumbs of feta and ONE olive THAT STILL HAD A PIT! Who puts olives with pits in a SALAD?!?!?! The fries were good but for $3 it should have been larger. The gyros were good but again hardly any tomato or onions and they were about half the size they used to be. Again for $8 not worth it. And the sauce tasted like it had been made several days ago. I don't know if I just caught them on a bad night or what, but I don't think I'll be back.

Amazing food and the ambiance is more unique than most restaurants in Stevens Point. The seated area on the floor is so cute that my husband and I reserved it for some of our engagement photos and those turned out to be my favorite. This place definitely adds some flavor to downtown Point!

Very good gyros. I go here with my son and daughter when they crave ethnic food. This place hits the spot!

When entering Downtown Stevens Point, this place you can not be missed. Fantastic ambiance. It feels "gypsy-isc" with a canopy where you can sit on pillows. The gyros are huge. It's about $7. You can't go wrong. The meat was flavorful, seasoned very well. We will return in a heartbeat.

Solid gyro. Not the best I've ever had, but certainly not the worst. I'd have another. The Mediterranean Platter was pretty good as well. A good variety of different flavors, everyone in my group of four found something on it they really liked on it, even my 4 yr old. Overall a good place to eat and I would recommend it if your looking for something different.

Terrible Gyros. Found a hair in mine. Flavor was not great and the meat was very dry.

The hummus is great, and where else can you get a falafel plate for this price in central Wisconsin? Nowhere. Great seating and ambiance. A breath of fresh air for downtown Point.

After striking out in overflowing parking lots looking for a fish fry on a Friday night, we decided to try something new and stopped here in having no idea what to expect, and I'm glad I finally gave this place a try! The restaurant is really beautiful. The tables were all lovely that I honestly had to think a moment about where to sit. The plants in the windows and the traditional seating lounge made it feel cozy. Both of the meals we got were really good (standard gyro and chicken marsala wrap), but I think I'd try something different next time just to see what else they offer since I'm not very familiar with this cuisine. A few little complaints--we ordered the cheese curds appetizer, and while they were soooo goooood, the basket was really for 4-5 people not 2, so we had a ton of leftovers. And then in the gyros section of the menu, it says "add a side salad, dill rice, or french fries", which to me meant pick one of these sides that are included with the dish, when they actually aren't. So we ended up accidentally ordering extra sides we otherwise wouldn't have. Shrugs....now we know for next time.

Fun place to stop in. Definitely have the best gyros in Stevens Point. Fun atmosphere, staff leaves a little to be desired. Pros: -Great food. Admittedly, I haven't tried everything on the menu, but the classic gyro/chicken gyro and jasmine rice is great. Masala sauce is a nice touch. Large portions. -Fast, available for take-out. -The owner, Kristine, is kind and puts effort into her business and customers. Cons: -The staff, other than the owner, is a little crude and don't always seem properly trained. I've noted a lot of goofing off in the presence of customers, and lack of professionalism. (Curt attitudes, smoking by the front door while customers are waiting, etc.) Turn-over seems high. -The price of the food has been slowly rising over the last 8 or so years I've been stopping there. (Note: I believe they have changed owners during that time period.)

Update: This used to be a great place. In the last 6 months or so, it has really gone downhill. The prices are even higher now, and while I emphasize with the economy, it's hard to stomach paying ten dollars for a gyro in a small town. (That's without rice, side, drink, or Tzatziki.) More importantly, the new wait staff here is ill trained and quite rude. Apparently, they lost quite a few of the usual, long time workers. I felt personally offended by one of the waiters, and it took almost 5 minutes for them to run a card because one of the employees wasn't trained to do it, and refused to call someone else over. The only time, as of late, I've had great service is when Joey is working. Sadly, my visits here are going to be fewer. It's a shame, as this was a really neat little place at one point. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This place is awesome. In short. The food is great, fresh, and authentic to its culture. Atmosphere is relaxing, and optional traditional sit down seating is available. I definitely have my favorite cooks, and have never been disappointed with my food here. Only once did one of the wait staff skimp on the gyro meat...but the rest of the staff are quite polite. Bonus: Very green.

This place changed my perception of what a gyro was meant to taste like. I like the fact that people can sit at a regular sized table or at one of the "authentic short tables" where one takes their shoes off and sits on a carpeted floor with lots of pillows. The staff is very friendly and the food is always prompt...and the low prices are easy on the wallet too ;-)

Tthe decor, nice. The lighting, nice. The canopied, pillowed seating area, nice. The food, edible, but so incredibly inauthentic and bland... Hummus usually consists of garbanzos, tahini (sesame seed paste), lemon juice, garlic, cumin and salt. Hey chef - you managed to omit the last 4 ingredients! Your version was bland, bland, bland. The falafel pita was not sitting inside the pita like it should. The ingredients were strewn over the top of the bread. The falafel balls, mushy and bland. The sauce which should have been present is called tahini sauce. This nice sauce is made from tahini, lemon juice, yoghurt and some cucumber shreds and this was also omitted from the falafel sandwich. Go for the real deal and serve some pickled turnips like they do all over the middle east. The chef needs to take a trip to Jordan, Lebanon or Israel to see how this stuff is truly made. The ingredients are available here, but the chef needs a good stash of recipes and some education. What is it with people in Wisconsin thinking that such bland, uninspired food is actually good food?? Don't expect anything other than ersatz middle eastern food when eating here...Ugh. I'll never eat there again.

Fantastic gyros. Fresh cooked meat on soft fluffy pita bread with creamy tatziki sauce. Cool atmosphere. We totally enjoyed our meal and wish they'd open a location in Wausau.

I happened to go here with a friend who loves food. We have a little nick name for him that incorporates the word "fat" in it, so you know this must be a good place if he was taking me there. We walk in and this place looks like no other. There is a small little section that is set aside for the real Mediterranean experience. You have to take off your shoes when you go in this section and there are cushions on the ground and you sit cross legged while you eat. there are curtains that hang from the ceiling and the whole vibe is really laid back and very relaxing. There is nothing like eating a Gyro crossed legged with no shoes on sitting on comfy cushions. I got a chicken gyro and my friend got a regular one. They are not terrible cheap but for the amount of food you get with your order, it is worth it. Both of our gyros were amazing and tasted really good. They are very filling and are topped with authentic spices and everything. Overall this is a great place to eat some authentic gyros and just relax while doing so. I recommend this place if you like gyros or if you never tried one. Bringing the Gyro back, Gyros and Kabob House.
